Yunnan Pu-Erh Cake is a Chinese tea from Yunnan province, presented in the traditional form of a compressed disc. The word “cake” refers to the shape of the pressed tea leaves.

To prepare it, carefully loosen a portion of leaves from the edge of the cake, keeping them as intact as possible. A dedicated Pu-Erh tea pick or tea knife can help separate the leaves.

The compressed format allows you to portion the tea gradually, while successive infusions offer an opportunity to explore its character from one cup to the next.
